Ljubljana

With determination, we have reached our first destination: Ljubljana, the city of dragons. The deliberation, by train, went with minimal losses. In our side quest to find the hostel, we passed the roaring river and fierce dragons. But we made it alive and well to our cute little hostel in the city centre. After dropping off our bags, we explored the centre. It was absolutely gorgeous. At the night's end, we listened to a local bard playing famous tunes next to the river. Most of them were in the local tongue, which we were not familiar with, so we could not join the choruses.

After a night's sleep, we climbed the castle hill, visited the local market, and strolled through the gardens. We jumped over dangerous rivers, climbed trees and tried new foods. It became obvious that the locals don’t eat that much traditional Slovenian food, but still a lot of meat.

Overall, the city was quite beautiful, especially the old town. It was a nice first stop for our adventure. Now we are heading to Budapest and the next quests.
