Sighișoara

A small city sprung up from a fairy tail. Tiny colorful houses and old mysterious towers make up the image of Sighișoaras old town.

We arrived mid day after spending the night on the sleeper train and set out to explore Dracula's birthplace. Apart from a few signs that say "Vlad"or "Dracula" it reminded us more of a Smurf village than a vampire one. The old town is surrounded by medieval walls and watchtowers, perfect for Rapunzel or Gargamel.

After our small exploration we went to discover the surrounding magical forest and hills. We met goats and dogs on the way, climbed over fallen trees and jumped over deep trenches. For dinner, we returned to the old town to eat in a medieval cellar before laying to rest in our castle hostel.

Today we will continue our journey to Brasov.
