Greetings fellow travelers and explorers of the cosmos! Today’s journey takes us from the vibrant streets of Singapore to the quaint charm of Seremban, Malaysia. Strap in as we recount our adventures through the lens of fantasy and science fiction!

Our day began with the rising sun, beckoning us to embark on another adventure. After a hearty breakfast, we packed our belongings, readying ourselves for the next leg of our odyssey. A quick Grab ride to the post office allowed us to send off some postcards, a ritual of connection to our loved ones back home.

As fate would have it, our path intertwined with that of an older English couple, fellow wanderers with whom we shared stories of our travels. Together, we navigated the labyrinthine bus station, eventually finding our way out of Malaysia and onto a bus bound for the futuristic skyline of Singapore.

Crossing the bridge between nations, we marveled at the bustling traffic, a symphony of movement and energy. Armed with entry forms, we made our way through passport control, though alas, no stamp adorned our passports, a minor disappointment in the grand tapestry of our journey.

Guided by the hum of technology, we traversed the city, hopping on metros towards our hostel, a bastion of modernity amidst the urban sprawl. After a leisurely lunch, we ventured into the verdant oasis of the botanic garden, where exotic flora danced in the breeze and elusive otters remained elusive. But a sign reminded us to let them cross the road first, if we would ever come across one.

The evening found us wandering the luminous avenues of Marina Bay, where skyscrapers reached for the stars and gardens bloomed amidst steel and glass. A feast of Indian cuisine awaited us at a hawker center, followed by sweet treats of ice cream nestled between waffles.

We were joined by friends from Sesy's university days for the water and light show at Marina Bay. Afterwards, we headed over to another mesmerizing symphony of illumination at the garden by the bay. As the night grew late, we bid adieu and made our way back to our sanctuary, the promise of rest beckoning us under the city’s gleaming skyline.

With the dawn of a new day, we prepared to bid farewell to Singapore’s embrace. After a leisurely breakfast, we embarked on one final exploration of Chinatown, where vibrant artwork adorned the facades of historic buildings.

Nourished by flavorful noodles, we retraced our steps, gathering our belongings for the journey ahead. Crossing the border once more, we found ourselves back in Malaysia, where the scent of adventure hung in the air.

A brief interlude at a shopping mall offered respite, though our quest for fresh juice remained unfulfilled. Undeterred, we pressed on, eventually boarding a bus bound for Seremban two hours later than expected.

Shortly past midnight we got off in the settlement where we would spend the night. According to maps.me a few steps would take us to the tavern we booked for the night. However, when we arrived at the point marked by maps.me it was nowhere to be seen. We wandered through the streets nearby but remained unsuccessful. A few locals spotted us and asked if they could help. After telling our destination a girl insisted that it was too far and too late in the night for us to walk there. She convinced her partner that the only right thing for them to do is drive us there. So these absolutely lovely characters brought us to our surprisingly big tavern where we checked in with some minor difficulties. Eventually we fell into the bed exhausted.

The next day would turn out quite adventurous but that is the story for another day and the next blog post. Until then remember, not all those who wander are lost (because we looked a lot like that on the next day).
